The game consists of teams working at their table to come up with answers to questions. We supply the teams with their gaming materials.
Everyone is playing at the same time and competing against all the other teams. A question, from 1st through 5th grade, will appear on the screen and teams will have 30 seconds to bring up their answers to a question. After the 30 second deadline, four answers will appear the other teams will have 1 minute to bring up their answers for half credit. Finally two wrong answers will be taken away on the screen and teams that have not answered yet have 30 seconds to bring up their answers for half of half credit. Teams will have to strategize which time to answer each question.
Games can be made to fit a 45 minute time frame to a maximum of 2 hours.
Examples of the different questions:
The Amazon River is located on what continent?
Where was Davy Crockett killed?
The transparent covering on the outside of your eye is called what?
Who was the first American women astronaut in space?
These games can become very competitive, making it challenging and enjoyable.
Is Your Team Smarter than a 5th Grader works very well with small to large groups, because everyone is participating at the same time. Is Your Team Smarter than a 5th Grader can be used with groups as large as 300. It will work well with any demographics. We require 1 skirted banquet table, screen and projector. We suggest a min. 12x12 stage for groups over 100.
